Oh! Look who we have here

Yippeee! I'm so excited! This is my first blog post guys. *Mentally does back flip that I can never try in real life*

Would you believe if I told you that I didn't have any plans on opening this blog yesterday? Well, I can't totally say it was impromptu because I had decided to open a blog after two of my friends talked me into it. And I thought, of course, why not? That should be a good idea. I mean, writing is something I've always loved to do and it would be a brilliant way to share my thoughts. I wonder why I had not thought about it earlier. Oh wait a minute! I actually did, but there was this archaic mindset, amongst some other things that clouded my mind (I'll spare you the details for now, maybe there will be need to write more about it some other time, lol). 

Few minutes before opening this blog, I had been beating myself up about the numerous things I had to do but still didn't have zeal to do any of it. Trust me, I wasn't in the right frame of mind, at all (I'll write more about this in my next blog post). Then here comes my cousin with the pep talk and surprisingly, energy that I didn't know existed in my body at that moment surged me completely. Glory to God! Here I am now, writing my first blog post and 'Tekena's world' is born. I think it's safe to call myself a blogger now, lmao! 

If you read this blog post up to this point, I must say I'm really grateful you stayed with me till the end. I'm also glad you stopped by. On this blog, I will share with you all my journey, life experiences, fictional stories and my opinion on different issues. This blog will reveal a part of me that I would originally like to conceal. I'll be taking this blog really personal and I'm not sure you would want to miss any of that. *Winks dramatically and blows kisses*

Yes! I'm 20 and it's my first time on the beach

There's always a first time for everything right? It's funny how I've lived close to 21 years on this earth and just last weekend was the first time I visited the beach. Oh yeah, I can only imagine what's going through your mind right now. The thing is, for the most part of my life, I stayed in Abuja, Nigeria and there are no beaches in that city. But luckily, I had the opportunity to stay with my cousin in Lagos this year and that was already a sign for me because there are several beaches in Lagos.  I had stayed in Lagos for close to seven months now and I still had not visited the beach.
